New Jewelry

Jocelyn was waiting outside the bookstore with Gavin, Mandy and Alex, when Tiffany and I came out.  Gavin was very busy.  Hovering over something he was making --Jocelyn assisting in the delicate procedure--he informed me "Don't look Mom.  I am making something for you."

In an outdoor environment, this usually involves sticks, rocks and leaves.

Then Gavin finishes and turns to present me with my gift, his creation.

He explained."I saw these jewels that someone had dropped on the ground.  And I knew you liked jewelry, so I made it for you.  You can even wear it all the time like the ring Daddy gave you."

That is so sweet.

Yes. It warms your heart to have a little boy give you a gift. There is nothing greater than that Mom-child connection. (Unless you're the Dad and have that Dad-child connection. That is pretty amazing too!)
