I hear a small crash in the other room.
"What was that?" I call out.
A meek reply is heard. "It's okay Mom. I caught the important one." replies Gavin.
This of course gets my immediate attention, and I start moving from my office to the family room where the tree is located. I arrive just in time to see Gavin throw a bouncy ball into the top of the tree and jump to catch the ornament which is dislodged from it's position.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Oh...uhh.... hey Mom." he says adding a little smile. "I made up a new game. I throw the ball to knock off the ornaments. But don't worry," he quickly reassures me, "I know the special ones are at the top and I always catch those before they hit the ground and break."
