Shawn has been wearing a beard for the past 6 years--pretty much Gavin's whole life. This past week Shawn was called to serve on the High Council, and it was suggested that he shave his beard in an effort to emulate the First Presidency. Sunday was Shawn's first week in our ward with no beard.
After church, Gavin and Shawn were talking in the kitchen.
"Dad. I think you should let your beard grow back on."
"Really, Gavin? Why do you think so?" Shawn asks.
"Well, I was looking for you in your classroom, and I couldn't find you."
"Oh, well I have a new classroom. Next week I will show you where it is." Shawn replies.
"Okay. Hey dad? I tried to see you, but now everyone else looks like you. Maybe they could grow beards?"
