The irony of this quote staring back at me--blatantly out of square on the quilt on day 6 of dedicated quilting--is not lost on me.
I have gained a greater appreciation of my mother's art form, quilting. It is NOT that, in the past, I have had difficulty appreciating the beauty of quilts, I have loved, appreciated and admired their practicality.
This time though, helping mom with three granddaughter's graduation quilts, I have realized what precision and patience it requires. (Possibly also realizing how much of that I sometimes lack.)
It is an act of love and service that she is willing to make them for these graduating seniors. Thank you Mom/Grandma for being such a wonderful. involved and caring woman in our lives. :)
