Gavin and I had just finished his nightly reading. We were laying on his bed in the dark room, chatting about school, legos and life. He asked me if I could pleeeeesse pick him up at lunch time, and take him home.
"Gavin, how about this? If you get four more #5's for your behavior I will pick you up at lunch time and take you and a friend to McDonald's!"
"Bahh!" (I didn't know kids actually said that word!) "Mom! I would have to shut up everyday!"

lol. I can't believe he said that!! I thought it would be HUGE motivation to leave for lunch, let alone take a friend to McDonalds! :)
PS: Glad to be able to see your blog again.
Considering "shut up" is a taboo phrase at our house, it was pretty risky. (I really need to stop thinking this kind of stuff is funny.) It is pretty much what he needs to do. Mind the first time he is asked to do something and stop voicing his opinion all the time.
Thanks for the email of support. I enjoy blogging, but I don't want to do it at the expense of others feelings, so I have been conflicted about it.
hahah thats awesome!!!
I knew you'd like that Rissa! :)
