The Polar Express

Grandma & Grandad treated us to a wonderful ride on the Polar Express in Arizona this year.

We created a wonderful memory and had a great time. Laughter and Smiles! The cousins sat on top of each other so they could be together on the train.
Gdog reluctantly gave his ticket to the conductor, and was relieved to get it back! He couldn't stop talking about the train for days after we got back! He still holds his bell Santa gave him on the train and smiles. We sang songs...even ones we didn't know. We even wore our Jammies! Ohh...aren't they cute? This is a remnant of the "animal game" we played on New Years Day... It's the fish....possibly floundering and dieing on the bank.

Post-Christmas Excavation

Now is the moment I dread all season long. When the fun of using all the Christmas stuff is over and the cleaning up begins. On unusual years, when I can get all my Christmas decorations taken down before New Years, I feel like I have accomplished the impossible!

When I have a year like this one, where I am looking at my tree fully decorated on the 5th of January, I feel like the only answer is to bring in an excavation crew to begin. And where did my crew go!!! Oh yeah, today they are off to school, and I am an army of one. (Well 3/4 really, Gdog is going to take a portion of me today.)

I know I will feel better when it is all tucked back away in the storage room. Until then it is time to gear up, buckle down and bring in the back hoe!
